Who Is Metatron and Where Does This Geometric Figure Show Up?
According to Wikipedia, Metatron, often referred to as the “voice of God” and a heavenly scribe in the Jewish tradition, is the name of an archangel who also appears in Christianity and Islam. Thehexagram or so called Star of David, a primary element of Metatron’s cube, can also be found in various Hindu yantras, (which are similar to mandalas) and in some Buddhist iconography. The hexagram is also seen by many in the new age community as a flattened illustration of the three dimensional star tetrahedron, referred to as the merkabah, which is believed to be a celestial chariot or light spirit body used for spiritual travel. All of this illustrates the cross cultural significance of the Metatron’s cube and its elements. Metatron’s Cube was also embraced by alchemists and individuals like Leonardo DaVinci.
Take a few moments to stare at the image, and notice how your mind visually shifts and reorganizes the Metatron’s cube mandala so that new shapes and patterns emerge. In this way, the actual viewing of the painting is an act of creation between you and the picture. This piece, Temple Metatron by contemporary artist Luke Orsborne, illustrates the way Metatron’s cube can interlock with other Metatron’s cubes, creating even more complex and striking images.

I’m so glad lucifelle posted this..I want everyone to know sacred geometry

The real question is, isn’t it beautiful?

It really is.

"From around the age of six, I had the habit of sketching from life. I became an artist, and from fifty on began producing works that won some reputation, but nothing I did before the age of seventy was worthy of attention. At seventy-three, I began to grasp the structures of birds and beasts, insects and fish, and of the way plants grow. If I go on trying, I will surely understand them still better by the time I am eighty-six, so that by ninety I will have penetrated to their essential nature. At one hundred, I may well have a positively divine understanding of them, while at one hundred and thirty, forty, or more I will have reached the stage where every dot and every stroke I paint will be alive. May Heaven, that grants long life, give me the chance to prove that this is no lie."

Generally inspiring works by generally inspiring people; so, naturally, I do not own many of the images posted. I will, of course, interrupt with a few of my own attempts at Art.
If my posting irritates that bit of capitalism ingrained in all of us just let me know and the image disappears, it's magic (or, preferably, I can just add copyright info to the image).
